For some, summer may be the perfect time to relax, but in the cyber world, we know all too well that this doesn’t apply to cybercrime fighters!
The Cyberbit team welcomes summer in a different way, with a critical exploit campaign and a major upgrade to the Pod of Entry Live-Fire Exercise (LFE).
Put your sunscreen on and let’s jump into this month’s release.

Last month, we dropped the Pod of Entry LFE for CrowdStrike and Kubernetes FTW — a masterpiece of an LFE if I may say so!
This month, we are expanding that LFE for environments working with Microsoft Defender.
In this LFE, your teams will experience a high-impact and multi-layered cloud security incident that’ll test their readiness from every angle. This exercise is all about reinforcing the critical importance of securing development pipelines and internal package repositories.
If you’re looking to truly hone the skills of your security analysts and incident response teams, book this LFE now!
A few months ago, researchers uncovered CVE-2024-45595, a new vulnerability in D-Tale, a visualizer for Pandas data structures.
When D-Tale is hosted publicly, attackers can exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code on the server through the Query input on Chart Builder, potentially leading to unauthorized access and system compromise.
For this month’s campaign, we have a new Spotlight reviewing the vulnerability inside out, complete with a POC of the exploit created by our own researchers in the Cyber team.
You can access this month’s spotlight here.
On top of the CVE explored in this month’s campaign, you’ll also find a few more CVEs explored in new dedicated Labs, as well as several new spotlights with an introduction to fundamentals for Google Cloud Platform (GCP) tools and AWS SecOps best practices.
Security teams don’t always have uniform skill sets. This diversity is a strength, but can often become a weakness. Offer your team the tools they need to sharpen their skills and minimize skill gaps, whether they are more on the junior side or blue ninjas.
Book your next LFE on the Cyberbit platform or request a demo to experience what live-fire exercises truly mean!
